 The area referred to as "Pangi" encompasses various beautiful villages, with Killar being the sole city housing government offices, markets, hotels, etc. Killar is situated near the Chandra Bhaga River, with an elevation of over 2500 meters above sea level. When planning a visit to Pangi, it's advisable to start in Killar and then consider exploring different places from there. Killar offers accommodation options like hotels, government rest houses, and home stays, along with easy access to essential supplies and fuel for vehicles.


When coming to Pangi, it's essential to pack warm clothes, as the weather can suddenly turn cold. Killar has facilities such as a PWD rest house and a Forest rest house, which can be booked online or through relevant departments.






For sightseeing in Killar, you can visit the Honsn Naag Temple, a beautiful temple surrounded by deodar forests. 

The Killar Helipad provides a stunning view of the entire Killar region. Further, in the nearby Panchayat, the Tattn Mata Temple is perched on a hill, offering breathtaking views of snow-covered mountains.


Every place in Pangi is remarkably beautiful, with fresh cool air and scenic landscapes that will captivate you.

The best time to visit Pangi is during the summer months, from June to October. However, you can also visit during the winter, although it can be challenging due to severe cold and snow blocking roads. Despite the difficulties, winter in Pangi has its own charm, with breathtaking beauty and substantial snowfall, reaching up to 4 to 5 feet.

It is a Panchayat of Pangi region, located at an altitude of approximately 3000_4000 meters and approx. 25-30 km away from Killar town.
